Notification

Constitution of Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) as per Pakistan Biosafety Rules, 2005 (Amended 2024).

All institutes/organizations involved in biotechnology/GMOs-related research are required to notify an Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) as per “IBC notification format 2024” in compliance with Rule 8 of the Pakistan Biosafety Rules, 2005 (amended 2024) and fulfill the requirements of Rule 9. They are also required to obtain prior approval from the Federal Agency for biotechnology/GMOs-related research activities, in strict compliance with Rule 11 of Pakistan Biosafety Rules, 2005 (amended 2024).
